Fish Candy - gratis haakpatroon

Hey hallo!

Short YoP Update

Hello! This will be a very short update since I don't have too much progress to show.. Of my YoP list items I only worked on Sweet Scarf of Mine.

It's nearly finished and I really like the randomness of the stripes.. I only have to finish the tassels/fringe to it. I already finished on one side, but I think they're too short. So I'll have to redo them. I'm excited that I can almost wear it!

Other than that, I released a pattern this week! It's called Fish Candy, it's  a really simple and easy pattern, but I really loved making/designing something amigurumi-like! I'd love to try to continue making my own patterns..

That's it for this update. Have a lovely week!

FO Friday ~ Kitty Kat

Hello there and happy Friday to you! Today is my debut for posting about felted crafts!

I made this Kitty Kat completely out of felt, which is a first for me.. And I learned how to use a blanket stitch! Yay!

Have a lovely weekend!

A bit of everything..

Hi everyone and thanks for last weeks Cuties-lovin'! ^^

I have so many crafts I want to do! I got some lovely crafty supplies (more on that in my earlier post) and my hands are itching to do everything!! So I have been doing just that.. working on a bit of everything.

Here's Wags the Wienerdog in progress.. He's more wiener than dog at the moment..

I finally summoned up the courage to use the sewing machine! I made my first envelope pillow! I thought this would be the pillow I'd sew my crocheted Chevron Winter Pillow Cover on, but I kind of like the pillow as is...

The Cozy Wrap is ready to be filled. I'd love to try either a wheat or cherry pit filling.. It'll probably end up being whichever one I can find first..

Sweet Scarf of Mine is about the size that I'd like it to be.. (which is fairly short actually) I think I'll add a crochet edge, but I'm deciding whether I should add tassels or not.. What do you think?

Updated list here! Have a lovely week!

A few new supplies..

New supplies always make me smile! Whether I buy yarn, paper, fabric or something else for my crafting needs, it always makes me giddy. But the more I get, the more I want.. Paradox?

So what do we have here... Some funky fun lettering! And washi tape! Yay!

And an embroidery starter kit. I've always wanted to learn embroidery, and when I saw this kit on sale, I knew I had to try it!

Oh and some fabrics! Yay! That's another thing I've always wanted to do.. Upgrade my sewing skills. With so many tutorials online, I just couldn't resist these lovely fabrics!

How about some scrapbook paper to go with the washi tape! Yummy!

Yes.. This does make me happy! Wish you all a lovely weekend!

WIP Wednesday - Stripes

Hello you. It's time for WIP Wednesday again, and today is all about stripes. Cuz sometimes I just need to get my stripe on.

The Cozy Wrap is coming along nicely, and I love that I decided not to make it in one color. I think it's about 30cm long now, and I have to decide whether I'll make it longer or not..

Remember Sweet Scarf of Mine I started last weekend? It was just a few rows long then..

This is how it's looking today. It's hard to capture the purple yarn color, but I do like it very, very much..

No yarn cut yet, and still stripey!

Happy WIP Wednesday!

Hey Cuties!

Hey Cuties! That's the name of this FO:

These cuties were not on my YoP list, but when I saw the pattern I knew I just had to make one. And when I finished the first pink cutie, I just had to make another one! So there they are, a couple of cuties.. I'm curious how they're both made with the same hook and yarn, yet the green cutie is slightly smaller/shorter than the pink one.. Is it the stuffing then?

I have also been experimenting with knitting stripes without needing to cut the yarn every time I change color. There are probably lots of tutorials out there but I wanted to see if I could figure it out myself.. I think I ripped it out 3times now before starting over and trying a new method, but I think that this fourth try is very close to what I had in mind! I want to make a scarf out of it. I'm dubbing it "Sweet Scarf of Mine". But again, this was not on my YoP-list!

I'm determined to also work on my YoP-list-projects this week. In fact, I've started on Wiener Dog yesterday. I'm calling him Wags... I haven't made pictures of him yet because there's not much special to see yet...

I also took the Microwavable bag out of my WIP basket.. I unravelled a bit because I decided I wanted to mix in a different color..  I wrote a post a while ago about different yarns, linings and fillings for hot/cold packs, and I'm excited to try different fillings I haven't tried before..

My updated list here! Hope you all have a lovely week!!

Pictures of Nala

Furry babies grow up so fast! Nala sure has grown in the past 4months! Let's compare shall we? Two pictures of her in the same bed:

Last Friday, January 31st

And of course, more pictures of Nala 'in the now'..

Getting to know 'Puck' - the neigbours' cat - in our hallway
They meet and play on a daily basis now..

She's almost as big as Puck!

Not amused with mommy
for putting on a leash she has to get used to,
so she can go out on the balcony when she's older

Getting back at mommy
by lazy-ing around when mommy's working out

So goofy..

So tired...

Yep... I do love my kittycat!

WIP Wednesday - Spring is in the air

Hello Lovelies! Sun is shining, flowers are blooming.. It's like winter has gone crazy!

I'm trying out 'eastern european style knitting'. It's like continental style but different ;-) When I started knitting not so long ago, continental style just wouldn't work with me and my clumsy fingers. But I was determined to learn knitting so I tried the english style (with the 'throwing') which worked for me. Then I started 'flicking', but I still held the yarn in my right hand.. I've now knitted a few rows eastern european style on my basketweave blanket and I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I've also started making several spring colored balls! It's a bit random, but that's what happens when spring is in my head! I need color! I'm not sure what I'll make with them though, maybe make a caterpillar?

And of course Valentine's day is coming up, I wonder if I should make something .. A cuddly toy? A garland? mmm.. still thinking about it.. Are you making something for Valentine's day?

Scrappy, Smashy Love

Until now I had only 'scrapbooked' our holiday pictures, but my mother-in-law gave me this lovely diary from Happinez.

It's already filled with some lovely quotes and pictures, so it's very inviting to fill it with more quotes and pictures, drawings and doodles, etc!

I am always intimidated by the wonderful scrapbook creations I see on internet, but I've decided to treat this diary more as a scrappy smashbook, where I can just smash it all in..

I also got this LG PoPo (Pocket Photo Printer) for Christmas. It connects with your Phone through bluetooth, you can adjust the picture (add borders, filters etc.) and you can print out lovely small pictures immediately!

Below pages show what my head felt like the past 2weeks.. chaotic but happy...

Embrace the smashy-ness!

A Dirty Lady

Turns out I'm a dirty lady. I read this tip on Pinterest:

It does make sense, I just never thought about it.. I'm washing them today.

I've been finalizing my Chevron Winter Pillow Cover. I've decided to sew an envelope pillow cover out of fabric, and sew my crochet onto the fabric.. Now if I could just overcome my sewing-machine-anxiety...

And I finally took Tinkerbunny out of hibernation and here she is! Finished and everything!

It took me almost a year to assemble the parts. Instead of being ashamed, I'm proud I did it! I can't assemble amigurumi if I'm not in the mood or I will go bonkers..

One last thing I just had to share: Nala will only sleep in her bed when she has the blanket I made for her. I discovered this when I took it out to wash it - she wouldn't sleep or sit or lie in this bed! She'd find other places to sleep.. After washing I put it back and there she is.. cuddled up and spinning - woops! I used the Dutch word for purring - like crazy..

Have a lovely week everybody! My updated list here!
